I have been incredibly upset about the intruder eating my tomatoes. Way more upset, honestly, than anyone should be over a garden when it is far from the only source of food. I realize how silly this is, but I can’t help myself.

But today, despite the continued tomato devastation, we found baby bell pepper finally beginning to grow! They should ripen into sweet yellow bell peppers – providing we can keep them away from the critters . . . 

Staying up late

Tonight the kids are having their first sleep over! The whole thing was a bit spontaneous, and born out of the need to help a friend in an emergency, but the kids are having a ball. Pizza, chips, sailing paper ships and staying up late – what more could you want? 

Of course, it is now past 10pm and everyone is still awake!
It could be a loooooong night!
