We are so much happier with Fletcher’s school this year than last. He and his teacher really seem to have clicked, and we get nothing but glowing reports on his progress. A huge change from the constant accusations of disruptive behavior and attention problems that we got last year. Part of it, I am sure, is that he is growing up. Part has got to be the environment though. From what I can tell they have lots of room to spread out and lots of different activities to keep things interesting. Not once has Fletcher complained about not liking circle time, as he did every day last year. He loves school.
I just hope and pray that we find a way to get Fletcher into the Montessori school next year. I am starting to really think that the self-paced program could work really well for him. If he doesn’t get in . . . . well, I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
