cold snap

It is cold. Really cold. For the second day in a row. And I’m worried. The tomato plants, some taller than me and covered in flowers, are not looking happy. This weather is just not supposed to happen in Savannah in late May!

The children, however, don’t seem to mind the cold and the damp at all. They are playing with the little boys from across the street and  eating watermelon and having battles with the rinds (do little boys battle with everything??) I won’t complain – I’m just glad they are outside while they have the chance. The forecast calls for rain and thunderstorms every day for the next 10 days!!
