“Never jump into a pile of leaves with a wet sucker.” ~ Linus

But everyone should jump into a pile of leaves from time to time. Is there really any greater pleasure? The cool, crisp, crinkly leaves, the loamy scent of the earth, the freedom of flying through the air and spinning and falling without a care. Around here this is a bit of a rare pleasure. Live Oaks drop their leaves in the Spring . . . and somehow that just isn’t the same. But this weekend the air was cool and there were leaves on the ground at the park. And the kids took full advantage! Well . . . most of them did. Fletcher refused to play in the leaves because he was wearing his favorite shirt and “wouldn’t want to get messy!”
